Hi, I'm glad you are here.

I'm Alicia Tacoronte, and I am a 2020 graduate of Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business, majoring in management with a minor in creative writing. With this background, I was able to find internships that allowed me to develop further my passion for helping people accomplish their goals.

I currently work as an HR Administrator for Wescon, a growing security company, collecting, organizing, tracking, and analyzing key employee documents for their onboarding process. I am working with the company's CEOs to transform this process into a more streamlined and pleasant experience for new employees. Before this, I was a Collaborative Intern at FastForward, an executive coaching firm, where I helped create content for its young professional audience, which required intensive collection of demographic information and target audience analysis – using surveys developed in Microsoft Access and call interviews. I also created a streamlined competitive analysis dashboard in Excel for benchmarking services.

My passion stems from mentorship, which I was able to find every year since high school. First, as a high school captain, I loved inspiring dedication not only to softball and volleyball but to teamwork and school performance. In college, I became a volleyball coach for a nearby high school in which, again, I was able to be a guiding voice for the girls and get them excited for the years to come by pushing them to work hard now. My college clubs, such as Georgetown Theater, allowed me to take leadership roles, which meant interviewing, hiring, and developing teams. Often with people younger than myself and again, I found an opportunity to lead and influence others for the better. And lastly, Ad Astra, a business school retreat program, allowed students to get off-campus. I was able to facilitate conversations across years to get an understanding of why people indeed decided to be in the business school. And with that information, together, we were able to discuss and begin the next steps to make goals a reality.

I want my next job to be seated in the challenge of making others their best version of themselves. Whether in training and development, diversity and inclusion, executive coaching, or another HR division, I see people as the most critical, fundamental, building block of any organization. Therefore, my work will not only help the performance of a company but build it past what it previously believed was possible. This will be done not through abstract ideas and conversations but through metrics, training programs, and performance data. My ideal work environment is a fast-paced organization where culture, performance, efficiency, and collaboration are apart of the DNA. I want to face challenges and use strategy to turn bottlenecks into significant links in the system.

I am a crucial contributor to any project I am apart of, and if you think I would make an excellent fit for your team or organization, please reach out to me.
